The Federation of Ghana Medical Students’ Associations holds two congresses in every administrative year, the midyear congress and the main congress also known as the Annual General Conference (AGC). This year’s midyear congress was hosted by the University for Development Studies Medical Students Associations (UDS MSA) at the Tamale Teaching Hospital on 17th November 2018.
Aside the various committee reports that were discussed and adopted, the house re-strategized on the way forward to partnering with IPAS Ghana, a few other potential partners and the hosting of the 14th African Regional Meeting (ARM) of the international federation of medical students’ associations (IFMSA) in December 2018 in Kumasi.
In attendance were delegates from KNUST-MSA, UCC MSA, UGMSA, UDS MSA and an observer from Family Health University College. Delegates were welcomed by Umar Aliyu, the host President and the meeting was chaired by the FGMSA president, Kennedy Ngaaso. The chairman for the organizing committee was Salifu Nyagse.
